From the Conductor

A loved one who recently lost her father unexpectedly, is uncertain about God and eternal life. As she confided in us her fear that her father, if he still existed, could be lost and afraid, it struck me that such a notion had never occurred to me personally and caused me to wonder why that was so. The subject matter for this concert provided the answer: God, Thou Art Love.
From the very beginning of my life, an understanding of an omniscient, omnipotent, and purely benevolent Creator and Savior was instilled into my thinking. Only now am I realizing just how deeply that foundation has affected my life, my faith, and my choices. I do not fear life, I do not fear death, nor do I fear eternity. On the contrary, it is something that I joyfully anticipate as the natural progression of this mortal life all provided by a God who loves me more than I can even comprehend.
I will leave you with some favorite sacred verses that calm my soul with the reassurance of an all-powerful God who unfailingly loves us more than we can comprehend:
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 8: 35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?... For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
2 Nephi 1:15 But behold, the Lord hath redeemed my soul from hell; I have beheld his glory, and I am encircled about eternally in the arms of his love.
